Peachy Breakfast Smoothie

My husband bought a very nice box of fresh California peaches for me at Sam's Club.  The kind of box where each individudal peach is carefully nestled in its own concave plastic space in the box's liner.  Turns out I am the only one in the family who will eat them so it's been a Peachy Week for me.  For breakfast this morning, I made a simple smoothie and it was... Peachy!

Peachy Breakfast Smoothie
1 frozen banana (broken into 4 or 5 pieces)
1 fresh peach, skin on, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup plain, low-fat yogurt
1 squeeze of (*)honey (approximately 1/2 to 1 tablespoon)

Put all ingredients in a blender in the order listed.  Puree in blender until smooth.  Add a straw and slurp away to your heart's content.  Enjoy!

(*) I strongly recommend the honey from bear shaped container because it's cute and that makes it taste better. Its' a FACT!

Nutrition Data:
Calories in 1/2 cup yogurt (70 to 80)
Calories in 1 banana (100 to 120)
Calories in 1 peach (40)
Calories in 1 tablespoon honey (65)
About 300 calories.... and packed with potassium, niacin, vitamins A and C, fiber, vitamin B6 and B12, calcium, and protein.  Time to go for a nice long hike!

YUM! I love peaches and they pretty much 'make' a smoothie!
